Summary of Duties Provides moderately complex and confidential clerical and administrative support to the Career Development Center and the Career Development Center Assistant Director. Assists higher level administrative staff plan and organize development events programs. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree and one year of experience or any combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling three years. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge Knowledge of best practices in coordinating events, marketing communications, correspondence, and appropriate matters of etiquette in various professional settings. Knowledge and experience working in an education environment. Skills Skills in office methods, techniques, practices and procedures. Skills in the use of computers and computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet, database, and presentations. Skills in the preparation and interpretation of reports, charts, graphs, and tables. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Skills in customer service and phone etiquette. Skills in effective verbal and written communication. Abilities Ability to plan and anticipate potential changes and act accordingly. Ability to enact strategic changes affecting multiple stakeholders, including high-level university leadership. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Ability to perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision. Ability to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions. Ability to meet and work with people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor and poise. Working Conditions Schedule Will need to work Monday through Friday from 8:00am- 1:00pm, however may be required to occasionally work afternoons, evenings and/or holidays.
