Monitor and ensure proper service within statutory time frame on all necessary parties which includes researching addresses to obtain service. . Communicate directly with process server. . Prepare basic motions, summonses, subpoenas and other legal documents as required. . Monitor and ensure compliance with all deadlines including, but not limited to, answers, defaults and discovery. . Review and code electronic e-mails and case documents in Relativity review platform. . Assist with contacting witnesses and conducting witness interviews. . Prepare timelines, witness lists, and exhibit lists. . Prepare protective orders. . Draft and issue subpoenas for records depositions, witness depositions, and attendance at trial. . Conduct and summarize background checks. . Request and gather federal and state agency files. . Request and summarize third party records . Prepare correspondence to clients regarding status and updates of active claims . Develop/recommend case strategy . Develop a plan of action . Assist with settlement negotiations . Administrative duties as they relate to the practice of law . Other duties as assigned.. Experience with Document Management Systems. . Experience with time-keeping and billing systems. . Must be flexible with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced litigation environment. . Must be able to perform a variety of administrative duties such as scheduling, filing court documents, etc. . Must be able to prioritize and identify urgency as well as manage time and multi-task effectively. . Ability to work as a team member and independently handle various tasks. PowerPoint and Outlook. Advanced proficiency in Excel preferred. . Labor/Employment law experience preferred. . Litigation experience in federal and state court. . Trial experience. . Input billing for daily activity. . Responsible for providing paralegal support to all attorneys. . Compile, analyze and organize information. .
