Oldcastle West Division of Oldcastle Materials, Inc., a division of Oldcastle, has operations in Utah, Idaho (southern), Nevada, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. The Mountain West Division provides hot:mix asphalt, aggregates, ready mixed concrete, and sand and gravel products. It takes pride in the large role it plays in building and maintaining infrastructure in this region.

Directs and provides leadership by establishing and executing a coherent procurement strategy that is consistent with the company's culture, strategic business objectives and continuous improvement / cost management efforts. This position is responsible for working throughout the Division and across Oldcastle/CRH, as appropriate, to strategically leverage the scope, size and experience of the businesses and to procure goods and services in a way which continuously improves supply quality, service, availability, and total cost management.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions):/h3:
:Provides procurement leadership across all companies for the addressable expenditure within the Division.
:Responsible for financial performance through execution of sourcing strategies that deliver savings and higher value for the businesses.
:Responsible for aligning and implementing standardized purchasing processes / systems to leverage group volume and resources.
:Participates in and provides procurement leadership for cross divisional, cross functional collaboration.
:Interfaces with all levels of company and division management to drive engagement and adoption of relevant procurement processes and programs at the individual company level.
:Works with division personnel to enable best in class supplier:buyer relationships that maximize the value delivered to the Division and Oldcastle/CRH. Directs efforts to negotiate, contract and manage performance with key suppliers to ensure that all service levels are achieved and that continuous improvement efforts are implemented.
:Responsible for leading and developing a team of sourcing managers / specialists to deliver process and savings targets established across the Division.
:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related degree or the equivalent in relevant experience, an MBA is a plus
:Ten (10) years or more of strategy sourcing / category management experience.
:Experience establishing business processes and managing performance
:Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or similar certification desired
:Experience in the building materials, mining or construction sectors strongly preferred
:Excellent written and oral communication skills
:Strong phone and typing skills
:Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
:Proven record of procurement and cost management across goods and services and understanding of the entire procurement cycle.
:Strong leadership skills with the ability to maintain a wide range of multi:site relationships at all levels of the organization and the ability to effectively define and manage change.
:Demonstrated ability to get positive results through influence, persuasion, leadership, presentations, training, and group facilitation skills.
:Ability to think strategically with strong analytical and problem solving skills
:Thorough understanding of financial management and Procurement's impact on results
:Ability to analyze issues independently and pursue appropriate resolution when necessary
:Ability to perform under deadline pressur
