Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Prospective Student Services, this position is responsible for identifying and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract and enroll students from diverse populations and other specified groups. Presents outreach information and training on admissions, financial aid, FAFSA , financial literacy to middle school, high school, and high school counselors, teachers and parents. Trains UVU Ambassadors, college/university faculty and staff on current inclusion policies and practices. Organizes and coordinates on-campus events with a strong focus on serving at-risk populations such as refugees and immigrants, first generation, economically disadvantaged, and rural students. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in a related field plus one year of experience directly related to the Summary of Duties or a combination of education and experience totaling five years. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must work evenings and weekends as required. Valid driver's license required. Knowledge Knowledge of event planning specifically for underrepresented populations. Considerable knowledge of academic marketing and recruitment methods. Knowledge of effective principles used in developing tailored presentations for under-served populations. Knowledge of diverse population's student success strategies and issues. Knowledge of basic admissions principles. Knowledge and experience building and maintaining cooperative programs and relationships with community and educational partners. Skills Skills in tracking and reporting data. Skills in effectively planning and organizing events tailored for specific populations. Skills in organizing and effectively communicating information to diverse groups of people and professionally represent UVU to a wide variety of constituents. Skills in conceptualizing publications for targeted populations. Skills in training other staff members on inclusive policies and procedures. Skills in effectively communicating in oral and written form. Abilities Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Ability to develop, plan, and implement short-and long-range goals. Ability to plan and evaluate programs. Ability to analyze course prerequisites, certification, and/or curriculum/graduation requirements. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Pay Range $28,730 - $38,306 annually Special Instructions to Applicants Requires the ability to work some evenings and weekends. Requires a Utah Drivers' License to travel to schools.
