Consolidated Engineering Laboratories, a proud component of Atlas Technical Consultants, is seeking full-time Geotechnical Engineers to join our growing teams in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Aeia, Hawaii offices, to work on a variety of exciting jobs in infrastructure, vertical high-rise, and many other projects for public and private clients. Qualified candidates will have at least a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology, with preference to graduate degrees or emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering, and have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE). Candidates must have or be able to obtain Professional Engineering registration in Utah and/or Hawaii within 6 months. The Geotechnical Engineer will report directly to Principal/General Manager/Operations Manager and will be technically mentored by a Principal Geotechnical Engineer. Essential duties generally include proposal preparation, engineering analysis, report writing, field exploration logging and construction observation, supervising, and project management. Candidates must possess basic geotechnical engineering skills including shallow and deep foundations, settlement analysis, slope stability, liquefaction hazard assessment, retaining walls and shoring, and be willing to learn new skills and methods, as required. Candidates must be able to communicate clearly and fluently in English, both orally and in technical writing. Candidates must have legal documentation to work as a U.S. Citizen.

The open positions will be based in either Salt Lake City, or Aeia, Hawaii. Occasional overnight travel for field work assignments is anticipated.

Field work requirements will require the employee to work occasionally in extreme heat or cold and walk/hike over steep or uneven terrain. Field work will require the employee to wear Level D Personal Protective Equipment, including hard hat, steel toed boots, safety glasses, ear protection, and reflective safety vest.
