Job Description
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing Quality Control initiatives that align with the company and facility objectives. The lead sets Quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives that align with strategic planning, quality policies and the quality management system. This position is responsible for creating, implementing and
maintaining a standard operating procedure (SOP) based environment and control of documents for the Quality System. The job function covers all aspects of company operations including the product development process, and requires the ability to compile and analyze pertinent information. Responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of a customer-centric culture within the organization. Facilitate the training of the company’s quality policy and process including SOP’s with existing and new employees. This person will manage the implementation of the IS0 9001:2015 Quality Management System, GMP’s, and the USDA NOP.

• Actively supports safety initiatives and zero accidents culture.
• Works to audit and maintain ISO 9001:2015 standard as well as GMP and USDA NOP.
• Ensures the effective implementation of the Quality Management System to all applicable groups and processes.
• Acts as management representative for ISO activities and conducts local management reviews and assessments. Coordinates all internal and external auditing activities to determine the effectiveness of the quality management system; conducts internal and external audits.
• Ensures that all processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained.
• Works to ensure quality assurance and control systems are deployed and sustained within the facility.
• Analyze and present Quality Metrics that support the Quality KPIs.
• Manages regulatory compliance of production where applicable, including material, product, and process tracking.
• Develops and provides leadership in resolution of product and process quality issues.
• Works with Sales/Customer Service to ensure customer requirements are met, provide timely investigation and communication on customer complaints and ensure corrective & preventive actions are effective and implemented.
• Actively works across all departments to enforce the QMS to ensure compliance.
• Reviews all records (work orders, batch records, logs, etc) to ensure proper completion and GMP compliance.
• Actively works within Product Development to ensure accuracy, development and implementation of bill of materials.
