The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate administrative, accounting, and internal control functions for a region(s) of the Rail Solutions business unit. This coordination includes the timely entry of financial information into internal Savage systems, ensuring that information is accurate before it is entered, and that it is entered on a daily basis.The Regional Coordinator will have a variety of responsibilities to achieve the primary objective for the position which will include but is not limited to;Coordinate the administrative and financial functions of assigned operationsMonitor and reinforce accounting processes and controlsEnsure financial reporting accuracy and timeliness (Daily Financials, Key Performance Indicators, monthly Projections and Variance Analysis, month:end processing and reporting, etc.)Manage Accounts Receivable to ensure operations are collecting on outstanding invoicesAssist with new operation accounting systems implementationPossess a detailed understanding of all financial data related to the assigned Region(s)Assist in monthly projection and variance processesAssist Business Director in the development and implementation of KPIA?sProvide analysis to assist operations in identifying and implementing operational and financial solutionsOccasional travel to operationsAbility to work as part of a teamWorking knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office programs : specifically Excel and WordStrong written and oral communication skillsCritical and analytical thinking skillsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to learn and utilize different software platformsStrong time management skillsAbility to evaluate standards against set criteria Education/Experience:2:5 years applicable work experienceBA/BS degree in accounting or finance preferred but not requiredPhysical Requirements:General office conditions will prevailTravel to the operations may be required Savage is an innovative supply:chain solutions company.
