You've heard about gardeners who harvest spinach and kale all winter, and you know the man down the street harvested his first tomato weeks before you did. How do they do it? Spend a morning visiting and learning from experienced gardeners and experiencing their gardens in action. You'll see how gardeners extend the growing season with hoop houses, cold frames, and other weather-defying devices. The second week, we will meet at a garden and help construct a hoop house, cold frame, and/or other garden extender. Class is co-sponsored with Wasatch Community Gardens. Class will meet in front of A wing of Annex and carpool to gardens.
